Basic Dishwasher installation includes;
Disconnect existing dishwasher from drain, water supply, and 110V power supply. Removal of existing dishwasher from cabinetry with ease. Prepare new dishwasher with customers provided dishwasher kit and cord. Install new dishwasher to existing cabinet space adjacent to sink. Reconnect new dishwasher to code compliant drain source and power supply. Level and Mount. Test for proper operation.
Dishwasher valves may go untouched for years even decades . Over time the washer inside the valve can harden and become covered with mineral deposits. When you close the valve then open it again, the washer on the valve stem may not reseal. Valve replacements are at customers own expense.
We perform all types of electrical, plumbing and carpentry modifications.
Purpose of the Airgap; To prevent waste water from siphoning back into dishwasher during and after drain cycle. Airgap is also a dishwasher vent, eliminates pressure and trapped sewer gas in the dishwasher drain, in return prevents unseen bacterial growth. We will not violate the UPC CODE and install a dishwasher with out a airgap.
National electric code section 210.8 D recognizes that there are electrical shock hazards associated with dishwasher installations. The code requires GFCI protection of dishwasher receptacles. At minimum we require a standard accessible electrical outlet. We will not hardwire any new dishwasher during the course of installation.
